carlo gatti

lives and works between London and Italy
he studied geology and architecture and kept his passion for painting and drawing since his childhood. 
primarily an architect cm gatti also finds ways of expressing himself through paintings, sculptures, ceramics and photography, moving between these worlds with a great sense of discovery and adventure where each discipline informs and is informed by the other.
cm gatti through his discovery of the plastic arts has developed a deep understanding of space, light colour and detail.

In his creations he searches for a form purified of expression.

his themes of inspiration are very diverse and span from imaginary landscapes, often influenced by his geological roots, at diverse scales to the simplicity of the found everyday object.

cm gatti is a member of the chelsea arts club.
